Dissolution of Marriage

 

Dissolution of marriage, commonly called a divorce, is the formal, legal ending of a marriage by a court. A dissolution of marriage completely ends the legal relationship between spouses and includes property distribution, spousal support, child custody and child support. The dissolution of marriage can be uncontested (both parties agree on all terms) or contested (the parties do not agree on all terms.
